WoW-Craft: Cross-Stitch Alliance Lion

Back in May I posted about my ongoing WoW-Craft project - the Alliance Lion logo in cross-stitch. I confess that this project has taken me a lot longer than I had anticipated, for a couple of reasons. Normally with cross-stitch you don't have a background colour so having the blue background added a lot of time to it. Plus I'll admit I've been going through phases of working really hard on this project and then getting distracted etc. I finished it a couple of weeks ago and spent last night backing it with felt ready to give to the boyfriend today (today is our mini Christmas complete with turkey before we head back to our respective parents for the 25th).

Below are some pictures that I took throughout the crafting process :)

      Thanks. I think he did, though he won't admit it :P
      I had originally intended for it to be a coaster but it's too good to have mugs put on it!
