This Cloak Better Be Worth It!

It's been a while since I last posted about my mission to get the Legendary Cloak. In my last post I had just about managed to finish off the PvP element - which was a nightmare experience. But little did I know things could get worse...

It seems to have taken me ages to complete Secrets of the First Empire. To be fair I wasnt running every raid finder that could drop the Ssecrets of the Empire every week so I suppose it was partially my own fault. And then last week I got my 20th. I was really excited about moving on and catching up with a guildie who had jumped slightly ahead of me. Until I realised I still wasnt exalted with the Black Prince and needed to finish I Need a Champion.

Last night I was lucky enough to find a group farming rep on the Isle of Thunder last night and soon hit exalted. Finally I felt like I was making progress again. I was so keen to get into the solo scenario The Thunder Forge that I didn't repair before going in... I was doomed!

I was ok right up until the final bit where you work with the Celestial Defender to kill the Sha Amalgamation. I died and my bow was broken, tried again, died and this time it was completely smashed. I had to leave th instance, repair and start over again. The lesson here being that repairing before entering is wise!!

I eventually managed to defeat the Sha Amalgamation. It was tricky - the evil stuff that falls from the sky was proving to be a pain. I know it should have been easier for me as a hunter but I just wasnt learning particuarly fast it seems.

Fortunately stabbing Nalak for Spirit of the Storm Lord was fairly simple. I used Feign Death to drop my aggro, got up and ran away from the creepy add thing. And I am now on to Echoes of the Titans collecting 12 Titan Runestones. Hopefully it in a few weeks I should have my Epic Cape and be on the road to getting my Legendary one!

And not to finish - a funny little story relating to the Legendary Cloak. Last Thursday I was in raid finder with some guildies like usual and we were on the Sha of Pride. My boyfriend decided to put his Rune of Power down which caused his cloak to do whatever it does and next thing he had pulled the boss. Of course we all thought it was hilarious (we were on voice comms) but I'm not sure how the rest of the group felt!

  2. As bad as that solo instance is I think the worst part on my hunter was the dps trial. It's an evil thing. Good luck to you! Hope you can get those runestones quickly and finish up the legendary.

  4. I don't like the legendary quests. Already completed them once on my druid, but I'm on the secrets gathering on my shaman, bleh.. Been on it for months.. I haven't done LFR every week either.. :/

    1. I like how casuals like me have a chance to earn it and it's not just an elitist status symbol thing. But I'm not sure I'd do it again on an alt. I have got the quest on both my mage & DK to collect the sigils but Im not making a deal out of doing it on them.
