Fun-Runs and /flex!
It's been a while since I posted about either Friday Fun-Runs or my guild's latest venture into flex raiding so here's a brief update.
A Make-Over & A Half...
For me the new character models is a massive feature of Warlords of Draenor and something that I'm really looking forward to. Up until recently we've been getting odd images here and there but this past week has seen two fairly substantial releases - images female Orc model and the female Dwarf is now available to view on the WoD webpage. (I expect most people are aware of both of these releases by now but I've been away since Monday).

Winner Winner Skyreaver Dinner
I have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with the phrase 'winner winner chicken dinner'. I don't even know where it comes from but a quick google and browse of Urban Dictionary reveals it relates to gambling in Vegas. Having never been to Vegas I'm not sure how it's become a phrase I use regularly but that's neither here-nor-there.
The point is that I won a competition!
The Godmother over at Alternative Chat hosted a competition to celebrate 5 years blogging. Entry was simple enough - leave a comment. She had also posted a brilliant video that I'd never seen before so, if memory serves, I commented a gratz and thanks for sharing the video.
Then Monday morning I found out that I had won an Iron Skyreaver! How spiffingly, fantabulously awesome!! A definate highlight since I posted some ramblings at the beginning of the month.
So yeah a massive thanks to the Godmummy for the mount but more importantly for being such a brilliant member of the WoW blogging, twitter and podcast community (Azeroth in 5 & Alternative Chat). If you don't follow her on one or indeed all of these media then I suggest that you do. One thing I love about her style is that she's not afraid to ask those awkward questions and has such a brilliant all-round understanding of the game which results in some pretty in-depth subject matter. She also has a voice made for radio (or rather podcasting!).
Bravo Mistress of Faffing!

This Cloak Better Be Worth It!
It's been a while since I last posted about my mission to get the Legendary Cloak. In my last post I had just about managed to finish off the PvP element - which was a nightmare experience. But little did I know things could get worse...
It seems to have taken me ages to complete Secrets of the First Empire. To be fair I wasnt running every raid finder that could drop the Ssecrets of the Empire every week so I suppose it was partially my own fault. And then last week I got my 20th. I was really excited about moving on and catching up with a guildie who had jumped slightly ahead of me. Until I realised I still wasnt exalted with the Black Prince and needed to finish I Need a Champion.

It seems that its that time of year again and there's been a heck of a lot going on in my world - both real and virtual.
